MAT 2014 February exam will be held 02 February 2014 (Sunday) paper based; and 08 February 2014 (Saturday) onwards Computer based. The application for the exam has been started and continued up to 20th January, 2014.

MAT 2014 exam is being conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association) for admission to the MBA and allied programmes in the AICTE approved management institutions or other B-school of national & international.

MAT 2014 Exam Pattern

MAT 2014 exam is being conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association) for admission to the MBA and allied programmes. MAT is the exam to get admission to the MBA & equivalent programmes in the AICTE approved management institutions or other B-school of national & international. Actually, any B-school can take admission through the MAT score.

MAT 2014 Exam Pattern:

MAT 2014 Exam will be conduct in two modes. Students can choose any of mode of the Exam.

  • Online – Computer Based Test
  • Offline i.e Paper Based Test

MAT 2014 exam will contain 5 sections and each section will have 40 MCQ type questions.

  • Language Comprehension: Questions 40, Time 30 minute
  • Mathematical Skills: Questions 40, Time 40 minute
  • Data Analysis and Sufficiency: Questions 40, Time 35 minute
  • Intelligence and Critical Reasoning: Questions 40, Time 30 minute
  • Indian and Global Environment: Questions 40, Time 15 minute

MAT 2014 exam Total Time duration is 150 minutes and Total Marks 200. Negative marking is a part of the MAT Exam and ¼ mark would be deducted for each of the wrong answers.

The candidate will be provided a sealed Question Booklet and an OMR Answer Sheet.  In paper based mode answers are to be marked on the Answer Sheet with the use of only HB Pencil to darken the oval for answering. Please do not darken more than one oval against any question, as scanner will not read the same correctly. Rough work, if any, is to be done on the Question Booklet only. No separate sheet will be provided /used for rough work.

In Computer based mode the questions are presented on the computer monitor and the candidate submits the answers through the use of keyboard or mouse. There is no time limit for individual parts of the test. The candidate can go back and change any of his/her answers among the 200 questions.

Candidates must choose the correct or most appropriate answer by clicking on the button next to the answer. Candidates can navigate freely through the questions. Blank sheets for rough work will be provided, if required.

MAT 2014 Paper based Test Information

MAT 2014 Paper based Test: Here is the information of MAT 2014 Paper based test. This information will help the applicants to understand the pattern of the exam.

Candidates are to report to the allotted test centre at least 45 minutes before beginning of the test.  Neither any candidate will be admitted 15 minutes after the commencement of the test nor any extra time granted for completing the test.

All the questions and instructions of the test will be in English only. The duration of the test is 2 hours 30 minutes. There are 200 questions. All questions are compulsory. Each question has four options marked (1), (2), (3) and (4). All questions carry equal mark. There will be Negative Marking for wrong answers.

The candidates have to sign the attendance sheet during the test duly endorsing the Question Booklet Series as given on the Question Booklet and other details.

Answers are to be marked on the Answer Sheet, which is provided separately. Choose the correct option and darken the oval completely corresponding to (1), (2), (3) and (4) against the relevant question number. Use only HB Pencil to darken the oval for answering. Please do not darken more than one oval against any question, as scanner will not read the same correctly.

If you wish to change any answer, erase completely the one already marked and darken the fresh oval with an HB pencil. Do not tear or bend or mutilate the Answer Sheet.

Rough work, if any, is to be done on the Question Booklet only. No separate sheet will be provided /used for rough work.

NOTE: Candidates are to be in possession of the following when reporting to the test centre: Document: Admit Card duly completed. Writing Materials: Ball Point Pen, HB Pencils, Eraser and Sharpener.

MAT 2014 Computer based Test: Here is the full detail information of MAT 2014 Computer based test. This information will help the students to understand the test clearly.

Computer Based Test means the candidate sits in front of a computer and the questions are presented on the computer monitor and the candidate submits the answers through the use of keyboard or mouse. Each computer is connected to a server, which prepares the question set and delivers it to the candidate on the computer.

The candidate has to be just basic knowledge with use of computers like use of keyboard and mouse operation. It is the responsibility of the candidate to acquire these skills before appearing in the test.

In the rare and unlikely event of a technical failure during the test, the candidate may be required to attempt the test again.

The candidates must ensure that the computer allotted to them is switched on and any problem with the computer should be informed to the invigilator immediately.

Details like your Name, Roll No, Form no etc are to be filled on the space provided on the space provided on the screen for test appearance.

There is no time limit for individual parts of the test. The candidate can go back and change any of his/her answers among the 200 questions. All questions will be of the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ type). Each MCQ will consist of a stem which may be in the form of a question or an incomplete statement and four options.

Candidates must choose the correct or most appropriate answer by clicking on the button next to the answer. Candidates can navigate freely through the questions. Blank sheets for rough work will be provided, if required.

All centers are closely monitored for security and candidates’ identity and activities will be recorded using web cameras and/or closed circuit TV cameras. Anyone violating the rules of the test center will not be allowed to continue with the test and will be automatically disqualified.

This is not like the traditional paper based test, which is generally offered on a single day to all candidates. MAT will be offered over a period of time and the candidate can choose the center, the day and time of his/her convenience to take the test, as described in the later sections.

Management Aptitude Test or MAT 2014 is a standardized entrance test for admission to MBA colleges conducted by All India Management Aptitude Testing Services (AIMAS). MAT is a national level entrance test which held four times in every year in the month of February, May, September and December. MAT results are accepted by All India Management Association – Centre of Management Education (AIMA – CME) and other Management Institutes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any B-School – national or international – can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates.   • Firstly the Candidates must have bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized College/ University.

  • Firstly candidates can register online at official website with Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card).
  • Or Secondly Take form with MAT Bulletin/ CD by paying cash of Rs 1200/- from Bank of Baroda or Axis Bank, listed Study Centers of AIMA or from AIMA, New Delhi.
  • Or thirdly candidate can Obtain crossed Demand Draft of Rs 1200/- in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. Candidate can register online at MAT Website along with the DD details.

MAT 2014 Paper Pattern:

  • MAT Exam 2014 is conducted in two modes, Paper Pencil Format or Computer Based. In Computer Based Test means the candidate sits in front of a computer and the questions are presented on the computer monitor and the candidate submits the answers through the use of keyboard or mouse. Each computer is connected to a server, which prepares the question set and delivers it to the candidate on the computer. In traditional Paper Based Test, Candidate is supposed to bring Pen, HB-Pencils, Erasers and Sharper with him/her whereas the Question Paper & OMR Answer Sheet is provided at the Test Centre.
  • The Paper Based Test is being conducted on the first Sunday of the February, May, September and December from 1000-1230 hours. Whereas the Computer Based Test is being conducted from Saturday onwards (6 days after the Paper Based Test date) and in different Time slots.
  • All questions will be asked in Multiple Choice type. MAT 2014 exam will be consists of 200 questions to be answered in 150 minutes.
